It’s been over a decade since BitTorrent was introduced to the world and since then, we’ve created software that has been downloaded more than a billion times. The protocol distributes large amounts of data over the Internet is used to help scale the user bases some of the most trafficked sites on the web including Facebook, Twitter, Etsy, Blizzard, and Wikipedia.
Imagine if we didn’t limit ourselves to a handful of developers. What if every web developer in the world could utilize our technology? The possibilities are endless and now, they’re a reality.
Paddle Over is a web app that allows you to easily swap files and was built with btapp.js
We built the new BitTorrent Torque API for developers, like us, and we joined Geeklist to geek out with developers, like us, so it’s no surprise that we’re very excited to hear from our fellow Geeklisters.
We’re eager to see what people come up with, and the folks on Geeklist are exactly who we want to be working with. The API is a work in progress, and we’d love your feedback. If you’d like to tinker, head over to http://torque.bittorrent.com and check out our demos.
